Unlock & Unlink - 3 Metal Puzzle Set
The Unlock & Unlink set brings together three Tetso mechanical puzzles that approach the same basic question in completely different ways:
How do you get this thing open or apart?
Orbit asks you to separate four precision metal components and reconstruct two linked rings. Heartlock hides its opening mechanism inside a keyless heart-shaped lock. Trick Lock looks more familiar, even giving you a key, but the obvious approach will not reveal the solution.
Together, the three puzzles move from visible geometry to concealed mechanisms, giving you a varied introduction to metal take-apart puzzles and puzzle locks.
Orbit Puzzle
Your Challenge: Separate the puzzle into its four individual components, then rebuild the original pair of linked circles.
Orbit begins as two elegant interlocking rings, but each ring is actually made from two separate metal pieces. That creates a four-piece take-apart puzzle where the correct sequence and orientation matter.
The black and silver components make the construction easy to study, but seeing the pieces does not necessarily tell you how they separate. Once apart, the second challenge is understanding the structure well enough to put all four pieces back together correctly.
Puzzle Type: Take-Apart Puzzle
Puzzle Difficulty: 3/5
Material: Stainless Steel
Number of Pieces: 4
Heartlock Puzzle
Your Challenge: Open the heart-shaped lock without a key, then return it to its locked position.
Heartlock looks like a small brass padlock shaped into a heart, but there is no keyhole and no obvious way to open it.
The mechanism is hidden inside the object, so solving it depends on examining how the different parts behave and discovering what movement releases the lock.
Opening it is only half the solve. Once you've understood the mechanism, the Heartlock needs to be returned to its original locked form.
Puzzle Type: Puzzle Lock
Puzzle Difficulty: 3/5
Material: Brass
Number of Pieces: 2
Trick Lock Puzzle
Your Challenge: Raise the shackle and open the lock.
Trick Lock looks like a traditional decorative brass padlock and even comes with a key.
That does not mean the key solves it.
The real mechanism works differently from what the appearance suggests. The challenge is to notice the small details, question the obvious approach, and discover the hidden trick that releases the shackle.
With a 2/5 difficulty rating, Trick Lock is the most approachable puzzle in the set, making it a good place to begin before moving to Orbit and Heartlock.
Puzzle Type: Puzzle Lock
Puzzle Difficulty: 2/5
Material: Brass
Number of Pieces: 2
Trick Lock Puzzle
From Visible Geometry to Hidden Mechanisms
What makes this set interesting is that the three puzzles do not rely on the same solving idea.
With Orbit, most of the structure is visible. The problem is understanding how four pieces can move through one another in the correct sequence.
With Heartlock, much of the important information is hidden inside the object. You have to learn how the lock behaves before its mechanism begins to make sense.
With Trick Lock, the puzzle deliberately gives you something familiar, a padlock and key, and then asks you to stop assuming it works the way an ordinary lock should.
Solving one will not give away the others.
A Compact Introduction to Metal Mechanical Puzzles
Unlock & Unlink is a good choice for someone who wants more variety than a set of similar disentanglement puzzles.
Across the three challenges you get:
- a four-piece metal take-apart puzzle
- a keyless puzzle lock
- a trick-opening padlock
- visible and concealed mechanisms
- disassembly and reassembly
- difficulty levels from 2/5 to 3/5
That makes the set approachable for newer mechanical puzzle solvers while still giving experienced puzzlers three distinct mechanisms to explore.
Made to Solve, Reset, and Share
All three puzzles can be returned to their starting positions after solving, so they are easy to pass along to someone else.
Keep them together as a small metal puzzle collection, leave one on a desk, or hand someone the Trick Lock and its key without explaining why the key is not helping.
The set is especially well suited for:
- metal puzzle fans
- puzzle lock collectors
- mechanical puzzle beginners
- adults and teens
- desk-puzzle enthusiasts
- gifts for problem solvers
- anyone who enjoys figuring out how objects work
