Soma Cube Set -
The object of the Soma Cube is to form different 3D shapes using all 7 pieces of the cube each time. Our Soma Cube Set comes with 50 challenge cards and 7 uniquely shaped, wooden pieces. The entire set is stored in a neat little box with a lid for safekeeping. To play, choose a challenge card from the deck and try to recreate the shape on the card using all 7 pieces from your cube. Need help? Don’t stress, the solution is on the back of each card. Soma Cube challenge cards have three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard - this allows each player to move at their own pace at any level, and eventually work their way up to the toughest challenges! The Soma cube was invented by Piet Hein in 1933 and has stuck around ever since as a staple of the puzzling community. The traditional, original challenge was to form a simple cube using all 7 pieces. Unlike most puzzles, which might have only one correct answer, there are up to 240 ways to build the 3 x 3 x 3 cube! Geometry never fails to amaze me. Soma Cube Puzzles build spatial reasoning skills and boatloads of careful patience, making this a perfect educational game for children of all ages and skill levels.
Cylinder Spin -
Here we have a clever spin on the classic Rubik’s Cube brain teaser. Cylinder Spin contains 16 multi-colored balls inside four rotating, inner cylinders. Each cylinder can be swiveled around until the 4 different colors (4 balls each) are separated and lined up in their row. There is one free space in the mechanism that allows the balls to travel between rows. The technique is tricky, as soon as you get one row lined up, you must temporarily destroy your work to get the next ones to line up. You’ll start confident but a few twists in and your head may start to spin. If you thought the Rubik’s Cube was tough, good luck with this one! This is a brain teaser for every puzzler and it offers a challenge no matter how many times you play.
