This item is lovely to work. From a purely decorative standpoint alone it is beautiful. We have each tried casually to open it, as it sits on our coffee table, but none of us have actually focused on trying to open it yet. It does not open 'casually' for this experienced family, which many others have, so rest assured it is not "too easy". Highly recommend!
